The New South Wales Education Standards Authority is the state government education statutory authority with the responsibility for the establishment and monitoring of quality teaching, learning, assessment and school standards in the Australian state of New South Wales (1.2 million students). The NESA is focused on integrating the various aspects of curriculum, assessment, teaching quality and school standards – in order to deliver better outcomes for students.
On 13 May 2018, the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Education Rob Stokes announced that NESA would undertake a comprehensive review of the NSW curriculum to ensure it equips students to continue to contribute to Australian society into the 21st century.
The curriculum reform also seeks to transform the curriculum’s design and delivery of associated syllabuses and support materials from the previous static format to a more interactive digital platform
As a result of a procurement process and comprehensive review of the market, NESA selected Global IT Factory’s Curriculum Management System to implement Digital Curriculum Management Solution.
