Benchmarking Curriculum Management in Eastern Canada

Sponsored by Global IT Factory, Benchmarking Curriculum Management is an ongoing research project evaluating and comparing curriculum management processes, practices and systems employed by higher education institutions across Eastern Canada.

 

The study is engaging higher education leaders and senior administrators through a comprehensive consultative process aimed at mapping the current landscape, assessing institutional readiness for digitisation, and identifying key motivators for digital transformation.

 

The project is currently engaging with 17 universities, colleges and polytechnics across Eastern Canada, with some institutions already having implemented commercial or in-house developed systems and several still relying on manual processes.

 

Early findings indicate that institutions are seeking a digitised system that can serve as an authoritative governance backbone that can integrate with Student Information and Learning Management systems and enhance academic quality through comprehensive curriculum mapping and reporting. Student advisement capabilities and the integration of artificial intelligence are emerging areas of interest among participants.
