The University of Queensland

Ranked in the world’s top 50, The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia’s leading research and teaching institutions. As a founding member of Group of Eight (Go8), a coalition of leading Australian universities, UQ is known for its excellence in creation, preservation, transfer and application of knowledge. Over 4500 staff deliver globally renowned learning experiences through a comprehensive suite of programs and courses.

Following a University-wide curriculum review, UQ recognised that it needed a new toolset to manage its broad and evolving curriculum more effectively. By updating legacy curriculum management processes and systems, the University will be able to reduce manual steps, and duplication of content and effort, leaving more time for staff to focus on delivering world-class learning experiences for students. Following a successful pilot in December 2019, UQ selected Global IT Factory’s cloud-based Curriculum Management System to partner with them in improving their curriculum management processes through the implementation of new IT capabilities and retirement of legacy systems.

Global IT Factory’s Curriculum Management System (named “Jac” at UQ), was successfully launched by Global IT Factory and University of Queensland Curriculum End-to-End Program (CEEP) team in October 2020.
